That's exactly what happened. He was stupid and Boxer, in typical Dem fashion, got the dirty tricks squad going. Thanks to her filthy campaign, she managed a win.

Well, I think you are talking about 1992 and that was a little before my time. But I have heard these claims that "Boxer pulled a dirty trick" before - hehe. Somebody claimed Boxer pulled a dirty trick this time around against Fong. What she did was expose that he was anti-choice, which is a surefire loser in this state. Imo that is not a "dirty trick". Actually, at least here, its the conservatives that do the "dirty tricking" because they attempt to cover up what their real positions on these matters are, since they are in a bit of a quandry, being unable to win their primaries without choosing extreme positions that will lose in the general elections. Anyway, like I say I don't recall 1992, but Boxer is pretty unpopular thanks to her abrasive style, and yet she keeps winning. Imo almost ANY moderate could win against her. Its a real no-brainer.
