NOV 1, 1999, M2 Communications - Interliant, a leading provider of
Web site and application hosting offers InterCommunity, Lotus'
Domino-based solution for creating and managing large-scale
professional online communities.

Built on the Domino Instant! Host platform, InterCommunity provides a
framework for the creation of hosted communities, which integrate
standard applications into a self-administered private environment.
Hence, any large group with the same aims, such as trade associations,
government bodies or corporate supply chains can benefit from secure,
timely and efficient communication, information-sharing and processes
which foster optimised business opportunities and partnerships. The
types of communities best suited for InterCommunity are ideally those
with more than 1,000 members due to the built-in scalability of the
solution.

The benefits of InterCommunity are widespread. For example, Corporate
Supply Chains can take advantage of streamlined business processes,
secure links to suppliers, distributors, partners and employee groups
or bolster intuitive communications between multiple parties.
Associations can use InterCommunity as an electronic meeting hall; a
place to share ideas and contacts as well as a place to sell services
to perfectly targeted audiences.

Governments can establish. forums to discuss issues with political
action groups and constituents, debate election strategies, publish
calls to tender and provide access to records.

"InterCommunity represents a natural extension of our current ASP
solutions offering," says Jim Lidestri, President of Interliant. "It
complements both our Self-Service Web Applications for SMEs and our
Packaged Solutions for Enterprises."

Interliant will host InterCommunity at its data centres, configuring
the software on behalf of individual customers. Initially, customers
will be offered four standard application templates: discussion forum,
conununity calendar, document library and classified advertisement
tool. Interliant has engaged business partners to customise the look
and feel of the applications for customers and to develop new
applications based on specific requirements.

Interliant has been a Lotus 'Net Service Provider Alliance Partner
and Premier Partner for the last several years, maintaining a strong
partnership with Lotus globally. In 1997 the two companies co-developed
Domino, Instant! Host (DIH), the hosting platform that already drives
popular web solutions InstantTEAMROOM and QuickPlace.

Interliant's hosted solutions give customers the freedom to focus on
core business activities carried out over the InterCommunity
infrastructure without having to worry about building or managing that
infrastructure. All the technical aspects and issues - maintenance,
reliability and scalability - are managed by Interliant.

"Interliant's global track record in hosting including server
management expertise, Internet know-how and its hands-on experience
with the DIH platform makes it an ideal organisation for us work with
to deliver InterCommunity," says Paul Taylor. General Manager, Telco &
ISP Group - Europe, Middle East and Africa, Lotus Development.

Available from 26 October, the InterCommunity hosted service requires
just a thin client (i.e. a browser) and a nominal fee per person per
month Interliant will provide InterCommunity users with support via
e-mail and electronic forums at no extra cost. Pilot schemes, lasting
up to three months, will be available for a maximum of 50 users.
