Hard to be surprised about FLC missing their estimate. That is at least six quarters in a row that they have missed. They can't even do an adequate job of guiding analysts. Too many fires, seizures, accidents...this outfit can't seem to get it together. I did very well in FLC over the last year but my gut feeling now is to stay clear until they demonstrate competence. One thing not addressed in the PR blaming all their problems on industry conditions is why their utilization rates vis-a-vis their peers is horrible. Everyone isn't doing as badly as they are. While big GOM jackup operators like ESV, GLM, RDC, MRL are approaching 100% utilization, lil' tweetybird has 12 cold-stacked jackups in the Gulf and a bunch of ready-stacks. Why ?

The street will hopefully interpret this tomorrow as an isolated incident by a chronic under-achiever.

That's good timing, me too, I was in at high 11's and out at 12 1/2 and 13. Not real happy about it, I wanted to keep it LT, but I could not shake the feeling that it was going to head down one more time, so I sold.

So hey, maybe that emotional investing ain't so bad after all. I know I'll be all emotional and misty eyed when it gets to my buy point also.

gggggggggg

Emotions aside[sic], I think the OSX will have a hard time getting through its overhead 50DMA. If I'm wrong, I'll cry all the way to the bank as I still have some OSX stocks, if I'm right I'll buy more and giggle all the way to the bank come BOOMY2K. Forget the emotions aside thing, as long as you leave out fear and greed they are OK, can't celebrate BOOM2000 if I'm completely stoic now can I.
