I have a small position in both HGSI and INCY, but have not had the time to give them my attention lately. I considered AFFX , but at the time (nearly three years ago) thought it was too early. Obviously it was for HGSI and INCY as well (and Frank thinks he has problems with being too early <ggg>). Since I'm not current re. genome stocks, I can't comment on the likelihood of Celera's "attitude" producing legal restrictions. The value chain comment came from listening to the CEO on CNBC in early Sept. discuss the new relationships his co. was entering. I would be very careful of this stock. I have a very small position and its small for a reason. You should ask yourself if you comfortable with a management that wants permission to increase its outstanding common shares by a factor of 5 and its preferred by 20? Although IPR and value chains may obtain not IMO a GG.
