It would sure be a long way to take Sparky and Sophia just for a trip to Florida.

Jeff,

I think the key to driving is that there were other stops to make along the way. Why drive when you can fly? Tennessee may have been the ultimate driving destination, but my guess is that there were likely other stops to be made along the way. Once the final stop is made in Tennessee, then it's on to Florida by airplane. So what/where/why were the stops in between NJ and Tennessee? One would have to guess that the stops would be business related. So I think we're looking for known penny stock scams between NJ and Tennessee, where either Chalem or Lehmann had known involvement(s), and/or people associated with Chalem/Lehmann scams that reside somewhere between Tennessee and NJ. Since the only stop we're absolutely sure of is Tennessee, we should start there and work our way back up to NJ.

The Tennessee stop must be within a certain radius of the airport also. We must assume that he chose to fly from the airport closest to his final driving destination, so that last stop could be outside Tennessee, but still have Tennessee as the closest airport.

We'd also have to assume that whatever the reason(s) for driving, it was something that couldn't be accomplished by mail or other means. The purpose required that Chalem be there in person or handle it personally.

Also unknown is whether or not Lehmann planned on accompanying Chalem on the trip. My guess is not. If he were, then there would likely have been a change of clothing or an overnight bag at the scene for Lehmann. Since none has been mentioned previously, I think that they had differing plans once they departed the residence.

Jeff,

See if this speculation makes any sense.

The first stop is Washington, DC to give testimony or evidence to the SEC. That might explain any sense of urgency to silence Chalem. That might also explain the messy papers in the dining room of the house. It might also explain any empty suitcases or briefcases found at the scene.

From there on to Tennessee and maybe other stops in between.
