Well, the vacuum cleaner I can see! How can ANYONE live without a vacuum? Duct tape? I guess the guys will go for that. Tupperware I never had anything to do with until a few years ago, when my pantry got infested with food moths. Yecchh! Now everything is in tupperware containers.

So I'd say these things are all pretty basic. And basic is what counts, no?

LT, if you had ever had the unenviable experience of having to beat the dust out of large rugs, the vacuum cleaner would be obvious in the same way that the sewing machine was. It saved hours of work and aching muscles.

I think every man in the world would go along with the duct tape. I really don't understand the fascination with it, but every project must start with a roll. Men use it for decoration. It covers phone cords that are run along the ceiling to the bedroom with the computer in it. It's a must have like WD-40.
