I went on the usenet, and it would appear that it is system wide. I found many Netcom users complaining about slow service from the news readers.

I've been using Mindspring for over 2 years. I'm satisfied most of the time. Occasionally there are temporary slight problems, but not like msn had. I usually get connected on my 56k modem at between 45 to 49k.
Best wishes,
Glenn

MindSpring's service is no where near the speed Netcom had. I'm just waiting for MediaOne RoadRunner to become available in my area. I've had it with the glitches with MindSpring.
