Bill,

Hope you enjoyed Kauai.

GREAT call on NVLS. That and KLAC have been very good to me lately.

Greetings from beautiful NYC!

First of all, congrats to all NVLS investors who bought in in mid-October. And a special congratulations to all those that have held AMAT and NVLS since I first issued my strong buys on both in October 1998. AMAT has quadrupled since then...NVLS has more than tripled.

The GUMM stock fraud: shorted 20% more at 18 1/2. I tried to borrow a lot more stock but was unable.

AOL: is going much higher. Buy it on any pullbacks.

COVD: left a limit order at 44 1/4 today to buy back my trading position. it didn't quite make it. I'll be watching this one tomorrow morning if I have time.

GSTRF: hold on to that short but don't bother adding unless there is a nice pop in the stock (say 15% or more).

The IDTC stock fraud; finally cooperating!

COST: is going to have an astounding Christmas...but the stock is not cheap. Long term investors hang on and continue accumulating by dollar cost averaging on pullbacks (my long term target is 200-250). Those with shorter term outlooks may want to hedge with covered calls over the next few months.

CLIC: I'm not thrilled with the initial coverage, but I really had no complaints about the earnings report. I agree with Steve harmon's analysis that there is more value here. This is the most speculative long position so buy cautiously.

ONE: slow but sure...it's going higher.

By the way...I am still short DRD, and the position is slightly in the black, but the stock has been tenacious. While I'm in Manhattan I'm going to stop in at least 2 locations to check up on things. in the meantime I'm recommending that the position be held.
