Yahoo. Now there's a good, reliable source ;-). I did some research into SIMG when they first IPO'd. They invented the technology that became the core of the new digital video interface (DVI) spec between the PC and the FPD. Problem is that, to get their technology adopted as the standard, they agreed that other companies could license the design for free. GNSS has already integrated a DVI receiver into one of its chips, and the traditional graphics card vendors like ATI and 3dfx will integrate the transmitter into their chips.

Remember that the vendors want to keep their costs down by keeping their part counts as low as possible. Unless SIMG shows that they can develop display controller functionality that produces image quality as good as GNSS's, I don't see them being any kind of threat.
