Desire might have found "up to 15 billion barrels of oil in the Falkland Islands" London, Nov. 2 (Bloomberg) -- Desire Petroleum Plc (DES LN) leapt 25p, or 94 percent, to 51.50, extending a 44 percent gain in the last two sessions. The oil exploration and production company said on Friday it found a site that might produce up to 15 billion barrels of oil in the Falkland Islands. Gaelic Resources Plc (GLR LN) surged 1.50p, or 120 percent, to 2.75p on continued optimism surrounding the takeover by Desire, traders said. Greenwich Resources Plc (GRWA LN) gained 2.25p, or 34 percent, to 8.75 as two of the company's directors own stakes in Desire, increasing the possibility of cooperation between the Desire and Greenwich once the merger has taken place, traders said.
