Qualcomm Inc. [QCOM] today announced that the FCC has approved an increase in the number of authorized mobile units in
the company's OmniTracs system from 250,600 to 400,600.

The FCC previously reviewed the OmniTracs system license for 10 years, extending it to Feb. 2, 2009. To date, Qualcomm
has shipped more than 300,000 OmniTracs systems worldwide.

OmniTracs is Qualcomm's fully integrated information system that includes two-way mobile communications, satellite tracking
and management software to track transportation fleets. The system operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

"We are very pleased with the extension of our system license," said Phil White, president of Qualcomm Wireless Business
Solutions.

Qualcomm, with headquarters in San Diego, provides digital wireless communications products and services.
