<<most likely a statement which is manadatory with a press release>>

d, where have you been in your life ???

d, have you no idea the tactics used by dishonest people to hide behind.

ok d, a simple pre course 101 thru an example.

Bad Person talking to other Evil Persons:

"... we will get into trouble with the law if we tell the shareholders
the type of stuff they expect to hear from us. Tell the Truth, ya right,
and the shareholders will have out heads. Tell not what is Really Happening,
and the shareholders can use that against us later when we don't deliver."

"... no problem, its payback time, time to collect for all that money
we "invested" into those Congressional & Senator elections. O ya."

"... you mean have them make it a law that each company is required to
state that what is released by the company may NOT be the Truth ???"

"... you got it Big Boy."

"... what a JOKE, and you know, the public will eat this up because a
government committee would a name like "Protect The Shareholders" will
be created and draft a bunch of mumbo jumbo statements, and for the
GOOD of the People it will be passed."

"... hey Big Boy, you know, we Biggies in this big room with the door
closed tight have always knowned with it being spoken, that we Talk Chit
against those shareholders in the Name of Us Biggies to get a bigger
piece of The Pie, and what if one of us got a case of Honesty and told
the public ??? I mean Chit imagine!"

"... don't worry, once we are recycled with other we will leave either
with a great sense of good feeling about Screwing Them Shareholders
for our Benefit in the gain of money, or we will carry a Great sense
of GUILT and hide it from ourselfs."

So d, "been there, done that" ???

Or d, are you clueless to what happens when the Big Boys get together
because you reached the top of your profession and never made it
to the top ???

Seems so d, as you have no idea what really happens behind closed doors.

Trust Me d, I been there and seened it all. Good, Bad, Ugly, Sick.

Doug

Days left to the millennium 58

Investing into the new millennium by Johann Els, senior economist of Old Mutual

By the middle of next year a broad-based economic upswing ought to be on the go in South Africa. In fact, the local economy could grow by about 3% in 2000, compared with an estimated 0,5% this year.
Typically, stronger growth leads to a deterioration in the balance of payments, downward pressure on foreign exchange reserves and on the currency. It also generates upward pressure on credit growth, money supply and inflation, and eventually results in rising interest rates.
The question then is how rapidly these financial variables will deteriorate and what it all means for interest rates. We?re not particularly worried about any of these variables becoming a serious problem over the next year or so. The balance of payments remains the biggest potential vulnerability, but higher commodity prices and rising export volumes ought to support export earnings. (cont. - registration may be reqd.)

Unless Each of us gets a phone call from the Fed allowing us to borrow at the discount window & told exactly WHEN it will be best to make that loan, there is still no JUSTICE!
