We use a little currency over here called the Euro. Remember that when anyone quotes prices on overseas markets.

Thank you, MileHigh.

Although QCOM [QCI for European quotes--thanks!] is up in European markets trading today, recalling what someone in Europe posted to another thread last year, European trading of QCOM today is a reflection of how the stock traded in the U.S. yesterday with the added component of any news that came out after our markets closed yesterday.

I find checking European market quotes most useful for getting a sense of where stocks that sell as ADRs over here will do that day. Due to that posting of how QCOM was doing in Europe, I checked the only ADR stock I hold, STM, a joint French/Italian corporation. It should be a good day for STM over here--up 7.96% in Paris and 7.55 in Milan!
