From a technical standpoint.. the answer is nothing. Two things stand out, here: (1)The management team, Dan and Desh are outstanding and seasoned. (2) If they have what they say they have in the Optical Networking space, then they are beating Lucent, Nortel and others to market with a superior technology. Time will tell. The major gains in 2000 in Networking will be made in the Optical (and Wireless) spaces. SCMR will either be a major player/leader or a flop. My feeling is positive.
