ZNDT 400K Float

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 2, 1999--Zindart Limited
(Nasdaq:ZNDT.O), creator, producer and marketer of high-quality die-cast
replica scale models and injection-molded collectibles, quality books
and specialty packaging, today announced that Hallmark Cards (HK)
Limited awarded Zindart the "Preferred Quality Supplier" status for
all Deco-plastic, Die-casting items and Magic Ornament.
Hallmark cites "the achievement is a significant milestone for
Zindart Ltd." The certification required stringent testing and
inspection for safety and regulatory standards; for equipment
calibration; and on the packing materials, heavy metal analysis on
paints, inks, and surface coating materials used in the manufacturing
process.
To ensure excellent performance, Hallmark also mandated
completion of detailed quality control manuals, inspection worksheets
and testing documentation.
Zindart's Chief Executive Officer, Alex Ngan, stated, "The growth
of our business is an indication of our superior OEM turnkey
capabilities and it is gratifying to receive recognition from a market
leader like Hallmark. At Zindart we command and follow very detailed
quality controls in all of our facilities. And as a global company, we
are proud of our manufacturing standards as well as our superior work
environment and safety controls."
Zindart provides turnkey OEM for well-known, successful global
consumer companies. Zindart's superior OEM process enables the company
to satisfy customers' requirements at every stage of production,
including component-sourcing, product engineering, model-making,
computer-aided mold design and production, manufacturing and
packaging.
This coordinated, one-stop production (i) shortens lead times
from design to production, (ii) reduces manufacturing processes and
(iii) increases efficiency, resulting in lower per-unit costs. Zindart
recently acquired Corgi Classics Limited, the marketer of the premier
Corgi brand of collectible replica scale model cars, trucks, buses and
planes which benefits from Zindart's timely, cost-effective production
and offers Zindart greater distribution opportunities.
