Intersting that they now give him kudos after some of the bashing that he took in the mid 90's.

Also, it did not appear that they discussed the influence of the cancer that he was able to beat. This is why he left MSFT. The rest has all been about the journey back. From buying the sports teams in order to sit back and enjoy his wealth and boost his local communities to his more recent focus on the internet and developing his vision.

When a person has stared death in the face and had to come to grips with the hard questions that most of us can choose to ignore then in many cases it makes them even stronger.

Paul Allen is one guy I would not bet against. He met death, what can T, Time Warner or any other individual or company do that is going to scare him?
