Cirruslvr,
RE:"Intel, current supplier of often DELAYED, unavailable products which go into comparitively EXPENSIVE systems."....

Good point. It's one thing to expect people to wait for a faster product at about the same price but to hang 'em out to dry for an equal system at MUCH higher prices is arrogance in the highest degree...
I suspect I'm right about Intel stockpiling, that seems to jive with what Ten and PB are seeing, good yields and good numbers of FLOPPERMINES but NO i820s, motherboards with 2 memory slots and the OLD RAMBUS is in the DUMBSTER!(sic) At least AMD had a CHIPSET for the Athlon even if the Taiwan mobomakers dragged their feet on the mobos.
And the AMD chipset would run on existing RAM...a good plan all along.

Never ceases to amaze me that when Intels back was finally against the wall on the MHZ/performance issue...they flopped as bad as AMD used to.

Jim

Cirruslvr,
If Intel is having to stockpile FLOPPERMINES what an opportunity for AMD to come out with a 750 and 800 MHZ Athlon. What would happen to the ASPs of those slower speed FLOPPERMINES sitting on Craig Barretts desk?
Paul has been strangely quiet about the FLOPPERMINES FLOPPERLAUNCH. You don't suppose he knows the truth and it's pretty close to...hummm
