Kevin...dude!..and I thought we were cyber golf buddies!!...shorting QCOM...say it ain't so (I'm obviously a shareholder)...just be careful if they end up announcing split tonight along with beating ests...I promise not to be offended...best of luck.

Shorting QCOM ... I think you are absolutely nuts if you do. It is very possible that they will blow out earnings, but I can't see any way that they don't at least meet them. If you short you might be able to cover at about 180. That's a best case scenario IMO that I don't think will ever happen. OTOH you might be looking at 280 before you can blink. Take a look at what JDSU did after its earnings and you have an idea of what you're dealing with on QCOM.
