Paul, jump over to the Compaq thread for this article about Compaq's 3 millionth server shipped, and happens to be an 8-way Pentium III Xeon Proliant. Nice description of how the Proliant might be used at the at the customer site also. The innovative capabilities of the 8-way ProLiant server were particularly appealing to Planet Online which handles over 400,000 emails per hour and receives more than one million hits per day on the Web sites that they host. <Wrong again !!! Rambus doesn't make RAMBUS memory chips. And neither does Intel. Paul> Paul, you need to think longer then Winsucks before pressing the "submit" button. Yes, PAMBUST does not fab the memory chips, neither do Intel. That is correct. However, the whole product of RAMBUS __is__ those design guidelines and core algorithms.
