Someone wanted to make a statement in the last 10 minutes. Stock fell $1 on over 1M shares in under 10 minutes.

Trading up a bit in after hours right now.

You can thank JP Morgan for that. They announced they believe Fed will tighten 3 more times! Nov. Mar. & June and it sent all the interest rate sensitive stocks into a nose dive. More noise. Guess JPM might have been taken by surprise the last week or so and wanted more time to buy in at lower levels. (very conspiratorial, ain't it!). At any rate I was quite pleased with today's action and feel we are well off our lows and will stay on a more or less slow steady upward movement. I actually like that better than rockets which soar and dive with equal speed since I've never been any good at timing!<gg>
Cheers

Sell off came in last 30 minutes. Whole day stock traded above 30. Volume was good more than 10 million may be million or so came under 30 and 200k @ 28. We should move up tomorrow. This is no way was a sell off.

Wow. What a pathetic finish today. Close under 28. Ouch.

Gary,

I'd almost rather it finish lower for a few days so I can add more. A few reasons:

1. The OTC volumes are much improved in November over October and, with that, NITE's market share has jumped (I would bet we were above 17% today). If this keeps up, 4Q99 could be very nice indeed.

2. Beyond the raw numbers, significant infrastructure has been put in place, with Optimark, ISE, and Easdaq, for what should be subtantial future gains. I love the way NITE is leveraging its existing market share, particularly with the Optimark deal.

well gbh... its important to realize that nasdaq was up 10, then 20, then 40...then it tanked to 10...

now thats volatility.

1.2b shares traded.

now thats volume.

we had both ingredients today.

so, we should have closed higher than 30, but that JP Morgan report killed the stock price.

and of course everything IMO>
