i have to agree...how anybody could suspect the Fed of such bubble hostility is beyond me.

Jim Stack of Investec showed some statistics that prove the Fed never tightens ahead of elections. in a way that would be good news for the bears, as the Fed would lose whatever credibility it still has at this stage and runaway inflation would be all but assured. Stack said however, that the economic and electoral cycle are out of sync and they may therefore stray from the usual accommodative behavior. i'll believe that when i see it....
