Sierra Wireless Announces Four New Members to WirelessReadyTM Alliance

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--Sierra Wireless (TSE: SW) announced
today the addition of four new members to the WirelessReady
Alliance that was founded in December 1998. The four new
WirelessReady Alliance members, who have committed to work in
conjunction with Sierra Wireless to create compelling,
out-of-the-box solutions for end users are Infowave, Panasonic
Personal Computer Company, Pivotal Corporation, and Software
Corporation of America.

With these additions, the WirelessReady Alliance now totals 27
members representing diversity in categories such as: Hardware
Vendors, Applications Service Providers, Software Developers,
Service Providers and Integrators. Entering the Alliance
demonstrates their commitment to the WirelessReady Alliance's
vision to accelerate the rate of mobile computing adoption through
the delivery of complete and compelling wireless data solutions.

"We are very pleased to welcome these organizations to the
WirelessReady Alliance" said Andrew Harries, Vice President of
Marketing at Sierra Wireless. "They bring product and service
leadership in their respective fields. This leadership and a
commitment to extending their products and services into the
wireless arena will enhance the Alliance's objective to create
complete and compelling wireless data solutions."

Although each member offers different strengths to the
WirelessReady Alliance's vision, it is the synergistic combination
of each member's participation that gives the WirelessReady
Alliance real power.

"We at Panasonic are very excited about our partnership in the
WirelessReady Alliance," said John Harris, VP of Marketing for
Panasonic Personal Computer Company. "The ability for Panasonic
to offer fully integrated wireless communications solutions on our
ruggedized Toughbook PCs for mobile professionals is a core part
of our strategy. The Alliance is a great way for us to cooperate
with all of the players involved in wireless in order to fully
meet rapidly growing customer expectations and requirements."

"Delivering results driven eBusiness relationship management
(eBRM) is a key focus for Pivotal Corporation," said Bob Runge,
Vice President, Marketing of Pivotal Corporation. "Joining the
Alliance gives us the opportunity to work with other leading
wireless vendors to enhance our offering by extending our eBRM
solution in the wireless enterprise."

"We are honored to be invited into the WirelessReady Alliance",
says Ron Jasper, Vice President, Marketing at Infowave. "The
success of wireless data penetration of the mainstream business
market will largely depend on being able to offer integrated and
complete business solutions. The WirelessReady Alliance is the
first focussed effort to develop solutions based on the bottom up
approach of meeting customer needs rather than the top down
approach of developing new standards. We expect that this alliance
will bring us into companies and wireless implementations to which
we would not otherwise be exposed."

"SCA continually looks for ways to build upon strong alliance
partner relationships that complement our efforts in offering the
most advanced mobile data solution to our customers. Sierra
Wireless' initiative has expanded the opportunity for SCA's
Premier MDC mobile data communications software into the
marketplace," said Tom Doyle, Vice President of Strategic
Alliances, for Software Corporation of America.

The WirelessReady Alliance recently re-launched its Website to
include comprehensive wireless data information and complete
solutions offered by some of its members. The new site offers
practical tips including 10 steps to making your Website wireless
ready and common practices for implementing wireless technologies.
