He was the spark plug. 3rd down and needing 2 yards he'd get you 3 yards. Run, block, receiver, water boy, he did what was needed. He wasn't a power back but he called on something extra.

The Bears had been losers for years when my dad was in the hospital in '83. He was in a coma with just a hour or two left and the doctor advised the family to leave. I stayed and was watching the Bears on TV. Peyton made play after play and as the Bears went ahead my dad woke up. We had an extra 12 hours of talking.
