BR, Wow. I guess that all of those nasty rumors were wrong. If this thing really works, LU is in good shape in the high end router space.

Btw, what happened to the 63.75 or 64 close? It looks like it jumped up after the close. Brian

Oh Baby, Oh Baby !! Is this what Sanford Bernstein analyst Paul Sagawa was referring to in one of his last reports ? This definitely sounds BIG. Specially since its supports Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) which any router on the WAN has to have to run with existing Cisco routers (85% on the WAN).

Thanks for the news BR,

This is why you can't sell this company. You never know when good news is just around the corner. It will be interesting to see if the NX64000 can kick some butt in the router market.

It is annoying how all these rotating heads are looking at Sycamore and talking about how CSCO's (I am long CSCO) purchase of Cerent for 6+ billion looks smart because of Sycamore's 17 billion dollar valuation. How come nobody is talking about how LU bought Nexabit for < B when Juniper is selling for almost 14 B? If the NX64000 is as good as it looks on paper, I'd say that LU got the buy of the century.

BR,
Here is a more detailed note on this announcement from a
competitive perspective.
- NX64000 is one of the products to be evaluated.
- Lot more tests are to begin.
- They also use a lot of CSCO stuff.
- One potential application is VOIP.
