Dear JC: OK you have FORCED me to tell you my golf story!!! My sister in law grew up with Arnie Palmer. Her Dad owned the Latrobe golf course where Arnies father served as greensKeeper and all. Anyhow they both learned golf together (she is very good even now and wins all the local tournaments (nonpro) ). Well, as a result I got to know Arnie about 30 years ago when he was still in his prime. He gave me some LIMITED golf lessons but here is the one I never forgot. Like you I was quite concerned about the RIGHT club. We were standing near an old oak tree on the Latrobe golf course. Arnie says, "John, its not the club that matters its how you use it". He walked over to that old tree, broke off a dead limb, came back and drove the ball far and true toward the green. I couldnt match his drive with my wood. Take it for what its worth. Not suggesting you switch to an old limb. haha. JDN
