I had a 1962 Dodge Signet with a pushbutton tranny... it was all white...quite a bit of chrome... and had red leather bucket seats with silver V's inside of a circle on the seatbacks... It was the sportier model... pretty nice little car... it was my first car... my grandfather gave it to me when he decided that he'd give up driving when he was in his 80s...

<<I tried to think of Significant Plymouths in my life
but came up blank. >>

I had a '49 for my first car. My dad had driven it for 15 years always parking on a slope so he could pop the clutch to start it instead of using the starter. It had 60,000 miles on it. I got 3 months before the clutch needed replacing. I got the standard "I drove that car for 15 years and never needed a clutch replaced and you a dumb teenager wore it out in 3 months". I blew the engine trying to get up the driveway.

I also had my first wreck in that car. A lady failed to yield right-of -way for the third time in two months and lost her license. I lost the bumper and she lost her license but she yelled at me. So did my father. The police said forgetaboutit.

'69 Barracuda. Only time I've ridden in a car with the speedometer pegged at 120.

Wasn't my car, but I did get to drive it once.

Had a 1964 Plymouth Valiant convertible for awhile. What a fun little car that was!

The demise of Plymouth won't be as sad as losing American Motors, when we lost great cars like the Ambassador, Matador, Javelin, and the Rebel.
