More PHCM thoughts...

(also posted on YHOO/PHCM thread)

Today's news was another feather in PHCM's cap especially after the news with the Japanese telco.

Business Week 10/25 issue has an article on wireless net services and cell phones. It points out how huge this market is already in Scandinavia as a result of Nokia.

They also mention Japan and relate the same thing I posted recently; that the Japanese are very tech savvy and embrace new technology/gadgets/services faster than the rest of the world. Wireless internet/cell phone usage is huge there; PHCM's deal with DTT in Japan is a wonderful first mover advantage with Japan's #2 telco provider.

Here's what really got me: Wireless phone internet usage will eventually evolve to an "always-on" system at nominal cost to the user. It's happening already in Japan.

Think about it: Of course you can take your Palm Pilot and subscribe that way, but with only your phone, you can access your schedule, address/phone list, and cruise the net. There are over 130 different sites already accessible through PHCM's system in Japan and the latest hot startups in Scandinavia and Japan are those that are designing web pages specifically for access by wireless phones.

This is tremendously exciting and bodes well for the future of PHCM.

By the way, the split is 2 for 1 and is scheduled for November 12. Lockup doesn't expire until approx Dec 12.

Good luck all...see you tomorrow.
