OZ:

I think part of the reason people hold losers is because they lack the confidence of finding another winner. One one has that confidence, he/she will just take the small loss and move into the next trade and repeat this process over and over and day after day.

Nice words of wisdom. I agree entirely.

I'm an ophthalmologist, albeit not a very successful one. So I have lots of time between patients. I am MAINLY long term and MAINLY buy undervalued companies where the underlying value gives you some support like AN and HDD. And I MAINLY buy stocks where I don't worry if they drop, and often buy more when they reach lower support levels. High flyers give me the willies. Globespan & Radware, for example, were not worth the heartburn. I'm willing to give a loser a little time. Like SNRZ, which rallied so I could sell for no loss.

I've become an ACCIDENTAL daytrader. As long as I'm watching the computer, I may as well exploit opportunities.

I've been burned in the past, but I would be dishonest to say that my recent strategy has not been successful. I have found that selling the little losses often accumulate to bigger losses especially when one factors in commissions. If you believe in the company, it's better to hang on. Obviously, I'm not really a daytrader

Concerning, Comcast. This stock is a gift from God! Why it moves like it does. I haven't a clue. Another recent winner, PCNTF is a high flyer, but we have intimate knowledge of each other, and it has been bouncing off of support like a pogo stick. I only buy each of these in dribbles anyway.

Have any of you taken up gambling to help you in your trading and assessing odds? I'm studying up on craps.

Well, if I'm good at something, it's about time! I hate being an ophthalmologist aside from the occasional buxom 20 y/o with the ass of a 13 y/o boy like I had this afternoon. She had this sexy gravelly voice and, for the piece de resistance, her right brow was pierced. Most of the day, as an ophthalmologist, I'm getting paid 48 cents on the dollar 6-8 weeks from now, MAYBE, for seeing trailer trash.

Also Dr. Herc is getting cautious as the NASDAQ approaches a 5% rise from the July high. So I'll quit buying.

What can I say? For now, it's working. I'm on a roll, as they say in craps. Support levels have been velly, velly good to me. And I ain't greedy!
