Bill--
no, I never heard of them! Was it a "community of writers", like Bloomsbury? I am an old hippy and I remember sitting around roaring at Firesign Theatre, though.
Veutura Freeway- 1 mile...Ventura Freeway 1/2 a mile.... Ventura Freeway- 1/4 mile.... Ventura Freeway- 1/8 mile...Ventura freeway-1/16 of a mile...Ventura Freeway-i/32 of a mile...Ventura Freeway-1/64 of a mile...Ventura Freeway-1/128 of a mile...

A couple of years ago we found the old albums and played them for our teenagers.
Who sat there stone-faced and puzzled.
Maybe you had to be high or something.

In the early '60s, the editor of the Texas Ranger,
a University of Texas monthly humor magazine,
was Gilbert Shelton. One of his contributions to the
magazine was a cartoon strip, Wonder Wart-Hog,
a spoof on Superman.

I don't remember hearing anything about him after
he left the magazine.
