Hello Dan, It took me a little while to locate their web site at dcht.com but it seems to cover the areas that you've mentioned. Looks like they are moving into the "smaller scale" fuel cell areas ... but with some impressive demonstrations. The one thing I keep looking for is what does the pricing look like. In a related area, it's going to be interesting to see how well the Honda "hybrid gas/electric" automobile does this year. I heard on NPR that they will offer 4000 vehicles in California before the end of the year. They are supposed to be priced below $20k ... I'm wondering if they will sell out immediately or not ... Hi, Dan. For clarity, it seems that DCH's Robust Hydrogen Sensor patent that you referred to is non-exclusive after April 2001. The license is from Sandia. From the SEC filing: ------ The Sandia license agreement defines two fields of use for the licensed technology. The first field of use, covering the petrochemical, energy, waste management, environmental and manufacturing industries, is exclusive to DCH through April 24, 2001. After that date, the license in this field becomes non-exclusive for the remaining term of the license agreement. The second field of use covers all other commercial applications and is non-exclusive. ------(endquote) My interpretation is that while the technology might be disruptive, it is not proprietary to DCH, since anyone else will shortly be able to make the same contract with Sandia.
