OT...if you think mitochondria are strange invaders, consider the possibility that both sperm and the cilia, the little hairs in your ear that gently wave the sound waves toward your brain, may be descendents of spirochetes, corkscrew microbes that propel themselves by waving and wiggling...other examples of spirochetes are syphilis and lyme disease!
