Question was in the geographical breakdown described by Thornley.Korea gets about fifty percent of the ASIC's and the rest go to other phone makers like Motorola.Motorola is getting CDMA ASICS from QUALCOMM but the percent of ASICS was not broken down.

JGoren,

When an analyst asked questions about Q's ASIC spreads between US, Japan, and Korea manufacturers. First CFO or COO spoke and later Dr. IJ added. It was on the first part of the Q and A session.

I remember hearing on the CC that Motorola was using Q chips, both directly in Korea and indirectly in US. The comments came in response to a question about the $113M royalties differences. I think it came from the 6th questioner. The prior questions resulted in comments about 1xrt CSM upgrades being important down the road and IJ's comments about going from 1 channel to 32 channels. The same person also asked for clarification of where to find G* contract revenues.

All from scratched notes and of the top of my head.

ps Boy you folks have quick fingers !!!

JG..

There was a question towards the end regarding chipsets by geography where Q estimated Korean OEM's account for around 50%, that they expect the greatest growth from Japan and that the Japanese OEMs are beginning to export, and it was also mentioned that MOT is buying chipsets for use in Korea and here in US.
