>>I believe AG and company has a plan to make this downturn as soft a landing as possible if and when it happens.<<

Surely you are not talking about Greenie, the man that says one thing and does another. There are NO plans for a soft landing or any landing. Why do you assume we need a landing at all just because a basket full of stocks have become overpriced? Greenie lost his credibility to generate fear a long time ago.

Today's stock prices will look cheap when Greenspan sits on his hands Nov 16th and does nothing. Buy any dip in the big names. Party on!

Joan, Good comments. The only point I would add is that even the great majority of juniors are overpriced relative to their values as operating cos. They just look cheap relative to the silly stuff. The main tool the govt. has now is faking statistics. So far, they have changed the way 12 different stats are calculated during the Clinton Presidency (that I am aware of). And, surprise, surprise, every single change "proved" that the numbers were better than we had been hearing. How long will investors accept propaganda as gospel? I don't really know.
