The Company
Definition, Ltd. currently owns a library of approximately 2500 films. This library contains a wide range of "public domain" films that are timeless and will be marketed in four-pack sets to the home video market.
The company currently owns WINQ-TV, a low-power station in West Palm Beach, FL. It has been announced that the station is in the process of being sold in order to eliminate losses and concentrate on areas that will produce substantial revenues and profits.
Work In Progress
Definition, Ltd. is involved in a joint venture to market and distribute a library of approximately 150 films that have had very limited or no distribution. These films were produced primarily as tax shelters, thus the lack of distribution. The first two projects are in the process of being prepared for distribution. "If These Walls Could Speak", a series of 26 half-hour travel shows, hosted by Vincent Price, and "How The West Was Lost", a full-length feature film, starring Sammy Davis, Jr., James Caan, and Stephanie Powers, should be ready for market by the end of September 1999. It is expected that television and video sales should generate approximately $8.5 Mil. in sales.
The company has just acquired a new film library for $2.5 mil in a combination of preferred and common stock. It is expected that this library will be delivered to Definition, Ltd. by September 15, 1999.
This will give the company an additional $2.5 mil in bookable assets and contains 20 new films that are ready for immediate distribution. It is projected that this new library will generate approximately $3,000,000. in sales the first year and $20,000,000. over the next five years. This asset will be a valuable addition that will compliment the current library and our joint venture project. Future news releases will give specifics on the first of the films to be available for distribution.
Definition, Ltd. has retained Robert V. Gaulin and Associates to market the company's film libraries. Robert V. Gaulin and Associates is a New York based entertainment law firm with an International practice providing specialized services to companies and and individuals engaged in many aspects of the entertainment industry.
Robert V. Gaulin is well known for his extensive work in television and film on behalf of many successful producers, writers, directors, actors, high-level industry executives, literary rights authors and libraries.
He has served as Executive Producer and Producer on several television and film projects; for example, he was instrumental in launching the award-nominated "Rear Window" with Christopher Reeve within the past year. He has also placed, packaged and negotiated deals while being responsible for enhancing many careers and projects.
The company recently signed a distribution contract with country western and gospel singing star, Cristy Lane. Ms. Lane has produced over 50 gold and platinum albums and continues to perform at her Cristy Lane Theatre in Branson, Missouri.
The first release will be a package which includes her autobiography, "One Day at a Time", which has sold 5,000,000 copies worldwide, a video of Cristy Lane in concert, and a CD/Cassette of her album, "One Day at a Time", which became the largest selling television album in the world and the #1 Gospel album of all time.
This package will initially be marketed on approximately 500 television stations across the country, followed by distribution into the retail market. Product is ready for immediate distribution. It is projected that approximately 1,000,000 units will be sold at $29.95+ Shipping & Handling over the next two years.
Additionally, Definition, Ltd. has nine more albums by Cristy Lane, which will be distributed through the retail market.
Roy Rogers
Roy Rogers, "King of the Cowboys", was the #1 western star for 25 years. He is a legendary figure and universally loved. The company is in production of a Roy Rogers package consisting of 2 videos of Roy Rogers films, a CD/Cassette of 20 songs by Roy Rogers, including several songs with Roy, Dale and Roy, Jr. (Dusty) and a book by Roy, Jr. entitled "Growing up with Roy and Dale".
It is projected that sales of 1,000,000 units at $29.95 will be sold over the next two years. The package will be marketed through 500 television stations, followed by distribution into the retail market.
The Next Step
Definition, Ltd. is in the process of developing and releasing the "Golden Legend" record label. Frankie Randall, musician and singer, is the first of 15 major artists to be signed under this label. It is expected that 14 additional artists will be under contract by year-end.
Long-Term Projects
It is anticipated that production will begin in FY 2000 on the following project:
Navy SeaBees - A 6-7 hour mini-series on the "History of the Navy SeaBees." The U.S. Navy has agreed to provide the historical footage and will include 30-45 minutes of footage on a sequel to "The Fighting SeaBees", the last movie made by John Wayne prior to his death.
Korean War Special
A seven-hour mini-series on the Korean War. "This is timed to signify the 50th anniversary of the start of the Korean War. This project will be marketed to television and home video. |
