Gene, <HP pushed Intel down Merced DDR memory route (Register)>

Yet another brilliant article written by the yellow-bellied Register. Ever since I joined Intel 2.5 years ago in my current position, the 460GX chipset (first chipset that will support Merced/Itanium) has always been an SDRAM chipset. There was never any RDRAM support planned for 460GX.

By the way, I kind of feel free to say that DDR will also not be supported by 460GX. The bottom line is that we don't need DDR SDRAM nor RDRAM.
