I would guess that if it was an arranged Mafia hit, part of the arrangement would have been to have removed family from the scene of the crime. I think it would be very difficult to conclude just exactly who had fore knowledge of what though. If it was a suggested Russian mafia hit, presumably carried out with a heavier hand, then the outcome for the family may have merely been left to chance. Reviewing the detritus of deals beached on Chalem's doorsteps it seems that there are a surplus off potential suspects. I think the disgruntled investor theory is indeed less likely. It looks to me like there may even have been a queue forming of those with malevolent interests with regard to Chalem and/or Lehmann.

Disconnects, Contrtradictions and Factoids. #1 Four guys are going to have a sleep over while the girlfriend and child and dogs are gone. Maybe they were going to smoke cigars (without a tarp) and watch some dirty movies or make some dirty movies. #2 Maybe it didn't start out as a "hit". Maybe something developed in the conversation/meeting/visit and things got out of control. The final bullets to the head were a "mop-up" to insure no witnesses. Maybe one of the shooters was a loose cannon (no pun intended). #3 The relatives of the deceased say these guys were funny and generous and family men, studied the Torah, loved their wives and girlfriends. #4 Number 3, above, is such a disconnect from porno films, stock swindeling, associates with names ending in vowels, Sec violations, racketeering, etc, etc, etc. #5 Driving to Tennessee. One of the bogus companies was located in Knoxville Tenn. Tenn. also has Nashville, Al Gore's campaign central, anything else? #5 Two nebish Jewish guys CHARTER a plane to Florida? I still have trouble with this. These guys would want their Eagle Almonds and a drink. #6 The WEBMASTER for their site ( I forget the WWW) is named GABOR from Hungary? Is Hungary famous for Web development and administration? Who manages their site from Hungary and why? #7 This is just a FACTOID. In searching the Asbury Park Press I noticed a Security Guard who showed the horses in the winner's circle at Freehold (NJ Race track) killed himself and his girlfried a few days ago. Cops say it is murder-suicide but the sister says impossible, her brother would never do that! The security guard had just moved in with this girlfriend the prior weekend. He met this lady 7 months ago and she was getting a divorce to be with him. Colts Neck is a small town. Colts neck is horse country (check their web page). Seems like a lot of muders in a small town for one week.
