Company Press Release

Ciprico Storage Solutions Speed 3-D and Visualization Workflow at SEG

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 29, 1999--Ciprico Inc. (NASDAQ: CPCI - news) announced that visitors to
Ciprico's booth (No. 2641, George R. Brown Convention Center) at the SEG International Exposition in Houston, Texas will be seeing the very latest technical
advances in high-performance data storage for geophysical computing applications. The expo is held in conjunction with SEG's Sixty-Ninth Annual Meeting,
October 31 through November 3rd 1999, and is the premier geoscience event in the world, offering visitors the opportunity to see, first-hand, the new and unique
types of technology for use in exploration.

Ciprico will be co-hosting the booth with the Osage Systems Group, Texas. During the course of the event, Ciprico and Osage will be showing new capabilities in
seismic visualization as well as demonstrating multiple geo-interpretation programs running from a single workstation.

Ciprico is partnering with SGI, Paradigm Geophysical and Veritas DGC Inc. to show how high-performance data storage can positively impact the expensive,
time-consuming processes needed to do 3-D visualization and interpretation. ''The Ciprico digital storage solutions are an integral part of making advanced
geophysical and geological interpretation and visualization applications perform at their best--even in a SAN environment,'' said Ciprico President and CEO Robert
H. Kill. ''And because these powerful applications work with such large file sizes, a Ciprico storage system can greatly reduce the time spent on data management.''

Booth Demonstrations

Ciprico's new modular, high-performance, large-capacity, fault-tolerant FibreSTORE RAID System will be featured in both direct-attached and storage area
network (SAN) applications. Also being shown are Ciprico's other Fibre Channel storage solutions: the FibreSTORE Disk Array and flagship 7000 Series.

SEG attendees will see a live, working SAN supported by a Ciprico FibreSTORE RAID Storage System. The SAN includes both IRIX and NT workstations
running ADIC's CentraVision software and incorporates workstations in the Veritas booth (No. 937) as well. All Ciprico Fibre Channel storage solutions are
SAN-ready and deliver optimal performance as central storage in multi-platform, networked environments. Ciprico offers complete SAN solutions that guide
customers through the process of planning for, purchasing, setup and maintenance of networked storage solutions.

Ciprico's booth also includes a visularium demonstration. Ciprico teams up with SGI and Panoram Technologies to show the 7000 Series with an Onyx 2 running
high-end applications from partners Veritas DGC and Paradigm Geophysical. The images will be shown on Panoram's 19' x 6' curved-screen, GVR-10
group-project visualization system. Ciprico's expertise in Fibre Channel RAID storage solutions for the geoscience industry began with the 7000 Series, providing
high-bandwidth, scaleable and fault tolerant data storage for office, field and marine vessel site requirements.

Other demonstrations feature the FibreSTORE Disk Array and FibreSTORE RAID System with Sun Ultra 60 workstations running visualization and interpretation
software from Paradigm Geophysical. Ciprico storage solutions for the Sun environment are tuned to provide maximum performance for fast, reliable access to data
for analysis.

Company Press Release

Ciprico Shows Bandwidth, Heterogeneous SANs at Siggraph 99

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 5, 1999--Ciprico Inc.(Nasdaq: CPCI - news) today announced that
high-bandwidth, heterogeneous platform, file-sharing SAN solutions will be featured at Ciprico's booth (No.529) at Siggraph 99 to be held in the Los Angeles
Convention Center, Los Angeles, California, August 10-12.

''Ciprico is very much in the SAN business,'' said Ciprico Director of Professional Services Paul Tsuchiya. ''All of Ciprico's Fibre Channel RAID and JBOD
products have been SAN-ready, from our first 7000 Series through the entire FibreSTORE Family of Disk Array storage solutions. But it became clear early on,
that for many customers who operate in high-bandwidth and multi-platform computing environments, integrating a high-performance storage solution into a SAN
environment might require some additional technical expertise. In order to satisfy this customer need, Ciprico set aside a Professional Services Group as a resource
for guiding customers through the entire process of planning for, purchasing, setup and maintenance of these complex, heterogeneous computing environments.''

Ciprico's customers who request services from Ciprico's Professional Services Group will have access to senior Ciprico engineering personnel, each with years of
expertise in storage solutions in networked environments. The company is among the pioneers of Fibre Channel technology in data storage, and these professionals
have logged over 4500 hours of SAN testing resulting in compatibility, interoperability and benchmark data not available elsewhere. Customers can opt for on-site
integration including installation, striping, partition tuning, switch zoning, application integration and training, or any combination of those services.

Ciprico also partners with the leading providers of high-speed Fibre Channel adapters, switches and file-sharing software to provide the fastest, most efficient SAN
solution available, including Prisa Networks, QLogic, Atto Technology, Brocade Communications Systems, Mercury Computer Systems, and MountainGate.

SAN (storage area network) technology has developed from a need to establish a central shared data storage pool that all people from various workgroups can
reach from their desktops. The premise of a SAN solution is based upon creating a networked environment of data storage devices and servers that provide
unrestricted flow of data. Users (clients) and servers can essentially access data directly from any storage device on the network without having the performance
restrictions found in traditional NFS (network file server) network or communication protocol environments, where performance above 10 MB/sec. is rare. A typical
SAN uses Fibre Channel to interconnect shared storage and multi-client workstations and servers. Fabric-switching topology provides multiple 100 MB/second
connections between SAN-resident devices.

Ciprico designs, manufactures and markets high-performance storage solutions and professional services for visual computing and digital media industry leaders
throughout the world. Ciprico storage solutions are designed for computing applications requiring high-speed image capture, full image resolution playback, sustained
performance and data protection. Ciprico is headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota. More information about Ciprico can be found on the World Wide Web at
