El: With reference the TV ads for PCs'. Today, in the UK, I actually saw a COMPAQ PC advertised on TV. But not by COMPAQ. PC World is the big PC chain in the UK. It had a very nice bright and breezy ad building up to Xmas and claiming that it was lowering prices on all brands etc. As the guy walked thru the store signs for several brands including COMPAQ were prominent. And in one scene, the last scene, a COMPAQ machine was very prominent behind his head as he talked. It looked like a "placement".
