(NASDAQ:POVT - news), a leading provider of performance improvement services, today announced financial results for its first fiscal quarter ended September 30, 1999. Revenue for the quarter was $48.5 million, an increase of 104.7% over revenue of $23.7 million for the quarter ended September 30, 1998. Income from operations before goodwill amortization for the quarter was $7.0 million, an increase of 134.8% over income from operations before goodwill amortization of $3.0 million for the quarter ended September 30, 1998. Net income before goodwill amortization for the quarter was $4.3 million, an increase of 139.7% over net income before goodwill amortization of $1.8 million for the quarter ended September 30, 1998. Earnings per diluted share before goodwill amortization for the quarter were $0.23, an increase of 43.8% over earnings per diluted share before goodwill amortization of $0.16 for the quarter ended September 30, 1998.
