This is kind've a counterintuitive method of making a point. Most highs, at some point, are "rejected" as the markets fall back. That doesn't mean much in the larger scheme of things. Often, a market falling back from a high is a sign of retrenchment and consolidation for a push to another high.

I agree with the follow up poster....I don't see any data that clearly points to negative outcomes. If the jobs data is "bad" (fewer jobs created)....that's actually "good" because it means the Fed will reduce its urge to raise rates. If jobs data is "good", that's mediocre because there is no clear evidence of weakening and the Fed may opt to raise rates (but also means the economy is still on solid footing).
