Until boesky had the silver bracelets slapped on him and the music stopped for everyone. Did you know in Canada there is a law against starting companies simply to avoid taxes? There's a rule that the business must actually be formed in order to make a profit from operations. You don't have to succeed, but you have to try. 99% of the startups in the valley would be deemed illegal, because they've got only one product to sell. and that product is stock certificates.
