Steve, re: rumors

The "street" has done this many times with Intel. Suddenly, about a week before earnings (during the quiet period), the stock price will inexplicably drop, and there will be reports of rumors of misses/warnings. It always seems to last about 2 days. I suspect that the target company, despite the quiet period, manages to imply to their analysts that things are OK, and the word gets out to the traders.

Assuming there is no basis for the rumors, this is a good buying opportunity. ASSUMING being the key word.

John (hate when this happens)
