<<P.S. best indicator out there for a bottom is when Richard Harmon gets discouraged and John White is ready to throw in towel>>
TA,
Whoa, you must have missed it. I've cut my gold holdings way back, swung more to silver,(gag) added some techs, & took a tax loss.
Haven't heard from John in quite a while, is he still about & long gold?

best indicator out there for a bottom is when...

Not sure about bottoms indicators, but the best for a high in gold is when Lucretius Taurus shows up. Then you know it's time to sell all gold stocks and wait. Ever time he pops up, it's at the highs. And he always says it's going higher. In his dream he's still waiting for 7000 Dow, and $425 POG. And yet the DOW has crashed higher, and gold lower. He may be off one day or two, but when he's here; it's over. Like when he was here Oct 27.

Hutch.
PS: A good sign of a bottom is when I don't say much of gold. Such as this week, I never said it was over valued. Silence on my part is bullish for gold. I'm glad to see Richard switched to Silver... much better then gold.

Here's the just released minutes of the Ashanti workout deal. The players -Goldman Sachs and the 16 other counterparties ( GS ) . Ashanti management ( AM ) . Ghana government ( GG ) ;

GS - We've got a problem here

AM - What problem?

GG - What do you mean "we"

GS - You have a $500 million margin call

AM -What's a margin call?

GG - You've got a margin call, GS, not us

GS - How much can you pay?

AM - We have $30 million

GG -Shut up AM, and sit in the corner. We can pay nothing,GS

GS - Very well, you have to cut wages to make up the shortfall

GG - We're not cutting wages, GS

GS - OK, we have to take a bigger piece of the gold revenues then.

GG - We're not taking anything less than we were getting

GS - OK, we need a bigger stake of the company

GG -Take it from someone else, not us

GS - OK, we'll take it from the public shareholders

GG - We don't care

GS - Good, let's make this look like a good agreement

GG - Make it look anyway you want

GS - OK, we're agreed and congratulations on the workout

GG - Go away and stop sending your stupid margin calls, we're not paying

GS - Of course, if gold goes up, we still have a problem

GG - You've got a problem. Come back and we'll feed you to the lions.
