Trindy, I have played the chip puts often for the last 3 years, making tons of money on all the SRAM cos, all the graphic chip cos, all the flash memory cos. and on MU, the only real play in DRAM. I have made much less on Intel, but am still up several hundred percent. And I never get TXN right, up or down. <g> But you have to be careful. Right now, they are all flush from box co. and other electronic vendors double ordering for the great Xmas that never shows up. Also, Intel is in its lying cycle about pie in the sky, having just finished reporting another missed quarter, when they had a minute or two of honesty. When we get the certain glut early next year, most will head south. The SOX is a great put choice except for the cost of the options. They are pricey as heck.

The best book on options, IMHO, is "Options As A Strategic Investment" by Larry McMillan. The best thing written is a tome I wrote for the Minnesota State Insurance Commission back in 1983, but I don't even have a copy, so it is not very available. Besides, I'm too modest to mention it. <VBG>
