I tend to sell early since my goal is making a few % quickly and then annualizing that to get my annual rate of return.

But this tends to violate the dictum of letting your gains run. The only problem is that I never have figured out how to do this. Better to lock in the gains.

I think low commissions and computer traders are causing a whole new paradigm that makes buy and hold less profitable, or sacrosanct, than in the past.

Hell, we got to do something with our time! Bought some NTBK today on strength and an IPO, BFRE, since it underperformed on its first day.

My brain is spazzed out for now so I'm going to Harrah's and then to see the movie Romance, billed as the sexiest movie ever made.
