I can't comment on market orders since I never use them!
I use ECN's (which don't allow market orders), SOES limit and Selectnet (almost) exclusively.
These are the "advanced order entry" methods (check off that option if you want to use them).
You will need to learn the ins and outs of order routing for NASDAQ stocks. Manual order
routing mandates having Level II to choose your counterparty and price. Listed stocks are
simpler in terms of actually placing the orders (plain old limit or market).
