they can get more overbought. the NAZ and the SOX have perpendicular blow-offs on record high volume...how do you know how far they can go? if AMAT costs 95 bucks, why not 150? what's the difference? nobody cares about fundamentals anyway...

a little look back at history...the 73/74 bear: notice the big rally after the initial downswing off a double bottom, also breaking down trend lines and improving NH/NL stats vastly. and yet, the bulk of the bear market was still to come. that rally surely trapped lots of people...
