Thanks Dave, I would like to see the same deal QCOM did with GTRAN, (who are they anyhow?) with a known name like COMS. Also, the deal with sprint for QCOM's OmniExpress(TM) fleet management product has some interesting possibilities when you start to consider that QCOM could do the same with Globalstar. For HDR to really blast off, rates will have to come down and always on will have to become a reality.

Trying to get my hands around the QCOM/Sprint announcement today... anyone have even a rough order of magnitude on the number of delivery trucks in the US? How about just something like UPS, or Fedex? How about all of those Beer or bottled water, or soft drink delivery trucks I'm always seeing? I know most Mom and Pop trucking lines probably can't afford Omnitracks, but this seems like a reasonably priced alternative... I'm struggling to even think how much money this could be, but it seems enormous.

Anyone?

Man, 200+ posts to catch up on after a hair-raising day at work. Looks like a textbook exhaustion gap to me as well.
Love this company long term, but the burst, short term, could be over. All long option positions closed. Just core stock left. I love this company! JWCB- what do you think about the gap? This one needs to be filled IMO. Would love to see this stock do a lot of work in the 220-230 range to build a base. Where are those hamsters?

edit: almost forgot in all the euphoria, friends' friend (handset engineer) says short list of buyers includes NOK, Siemens, and The Big One, MSFT! If that's true, I hope I'll be back in with more than core holdings when that goes down.
