Uncle Franq,

Close enough. I put the same question to LB and his thought was 400 by spring (pre-split) so now 100 by spring. So again your lines of thinking are very similar. Hey, I got comfortable with Q being in the 200's and can't wait for it to get back there.

Frank
Congrats on the move to the new home based career. Hope you find it enjoyable. I also hope that it will not encourage your "short term" tendencies too much.

PS: Keep up the wonderful work on the best thread at SI.

I hope everyone noticed that Ericsson and Qualcomm came to a major agreement today that will enable customers to
more quickly adopt the CDMA technology. The two companies agreed to support one common standard. A lot of
potential customers were holding off on choosing one technology over the other until the suit played out. Now that the
suit will never get to court, let the adopting begin.

I'm sure we'll here from Chaz who has already posted in the AOL folder that this news is equivalent to the product
crossing the chasm. Gorilla Game devotees will take note that the authors recommend waiting to invest in enabling
technologies until the tornado forms. If you're not familiar with CDMA, it is an enabling technology.

Ericsson estimates there will be 16 million wireless handsets sporting CDMA technology in 2001.

I suspect today was the best day that any of us have ever had, financially. It was two years income for me, and more for many others, I am sure

Frank can now spend his time annoying Nancy, and doing her daily list of "honey-do's". :0)

As soon as I can figure a way out of my business, I will be gone, also. If it were not for my son's involvement, I would just turn the key on it.

When I look at what I could spend each year from now on, and compare it to my income and worries of 7 years ago, it is mind boggling! I am 65 now, and I have been getting PM's from many of you who are 10 or 20 years younger than me, and doing better, as well, or almost as well, as I am. I feel so good when I realize how full your lives can be at a much earlier age, and the opportunities that this wealth gives you that I did not have at your age.

I just got back from dancing at the Derby, will dance Thursday and Friday there, and take my grandchildren to the "Satin Ballroom" in Culver City to dance, with about 1200 others, to Bill Elliott's Swing Band this Saturday.

Life is very good, my friends! Don't spend all of your time in front of your Monitor. Get out and live it!

Unq--just read through all yesterday's posts on the thread. Amazing. I think we're seeing just the beginning of lives permanently changed through wise investing--as you said, you bought your freedom. Not only "from" something, but more importantly toward something. You've seen from this thread that you and Mike and others have the capacity to teach this method of investing in a way that even the best book can't. I can't wait to see what will happen to us all in the next few years!

Good on you Uncle Frank, just the purpose of the FM to safely provide the wealth we need for the security of our families.

While ordering Crossing the Chasm yesterday, I noticed Amazon had the FM publication date at March 1998, MARCH OF 1998 and look where we are. Blows me away.

And the quality of this folder is beyond words, Together we are strong. And I'm glad you curbed your impulse to time the Q.

The voters just gave my organization a haircut and FUD over our 2% typical raise will drive the cash flow people crazy. I'm going to have to bite my tongue until it bleeds to stay out of trouble.

Even more important than the money is the mental health, self reliance, and lack of fear that this thread is providing those of us who have made the quantum leap of faith required to trust the FM and each other.

A couple of my buddy's think I've finally found religion, YUP but the money is just a symptom.

Enjoy your new career
Doug
