Thanks for the DLTC into. So it DID pop. But end of day no change according to my apparently inadequate portfolio service on AOL. Great. Maybe it will spike tomorrow morning too. - Anyway, searching for more bargains. Kicking myself for selling a few too early like my fave BEBE which is now looking like it could have a double. From now on in this market I'm going to hold on, especially to avoid paying tax on gains from now on (well maybe a few).

Looking at big tax-loss dumps for one thing. What were the worst losers of the year which are worth a lot of money to dump. The worst dump of the year amongst well known companies has to be WDC. Though they're in abyssmal shape WDC just dipped below $30 and has more than $2 cash. How's that for bottom fishing? Figure it was recently at $6. So if it gets halfway back on some buy-out rumor or something it's a quick 50%. Another like this is NN which just keeps sinking. And with tax-loss season upon us it might get even worse.

What about e-commerce? Bought some EGGS today very cheap. EGGS and ONSL used to be high-fliers, now merged and cheap.
What do you think of COOL, another former high-flier e-biz outfit, very cheap? Or FDX as the delivery system not a bad price? Or LOR (loral) the top satellite company which got hit by political troubles this year but definitely owns a big piece of the future (far future?) Very cheap. I'm trying to buy more ANF. URBN is coming back down. CNQR does look good but popped today which dissuades me a little. IMRS a huge drop recently. CBS same boat. Could double soon. TSK just as bad. CHRZ was that bad but popped today. PSFT yuck but e-biz strategy could pay off in 2000 a la Oracle.

UIS down 45% and I've loaded up the truck. DCTI still cheap but only acts like a great trading stock so far. ELNK and MSPG are in the toilet price-wise. ANy downside? ONEM too amongst ISP's and former high-fliers. ATHM? T? AOL surging but these other ISP's languishing. Why? CPQ the king pof the losers. But how low can it go? Bought some at 18 11/16 today. COMS looks great still cheap, bought back at 28 after selling there two months ago, holding from $21. BSX going back down. Could double by 2000.

What a list! By beaten-down out-of-favor tech dogs list. Tax-oversold losers no one wants to admit they own. And each with the potential for dead dog bounces or recoveries and 50% or more.

Truly this could be the time to get rich is you pick 'em right and hold until early next year. WIND and BEBE used to be my favorite on that list. Sold em both to soon now surging. ORCL a former dog. CHKP a former dog. Shouldn't remind myself, I would have been if I had had held. Had 1250 shares of CHKP at $24 last January. Now at $120. Sold at $27. wow.

I can't complain. Am up $37,000 in two weeks and have lots of cash but am wondering - is this a great opportunity to beat the fund managers at their own game or what? We small investors can get in fast when stocks are still out of favor. In a rising bull market that ability is king.

Any other stellar dogs out there you guys see? As you can tell, I am not a momentum investor. An understatement. If I buy WDC tomorrow I will be the king of the bottom-fishers.

Here's a stock that has been out of favor and looks like it might be coming back LRW
